Case Study Creator exists to help you turn real client work into credible proof. That means you trust us with sensitive material — notes, transcripts, testimonials and results. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what we do not do with it.
Information you give us
Everything in your workspace is something you chose to put there. That includes:
- Account details — your name, username, email address and the authentication data handled by our authentication provider (we never see your password in readable form).
- Brand kit information — business name, description, colours, fonts and any brand assets you upload.
- Voice and tone preferences — the traits, answers and voice profile you create, including anything you record or type during the voice interview.
- Case study project data — notes, testimonials, transcripts, uploaded files, metrics, client messages, investigation answers, approved facts, story angles, edits, saved versions and generated outputs.
You decide what to bring in. If material is too sensitive to store, don't upload it — or anonymise it first.
Information collected automatically
To run the service we handle basic authentication and session information (so you stay signed in and only see your own workspace) and standard service logs generated by our hosting and database infrastructure, such as request and error records used to keep the product working.
We don't run advertising trackers or third-party analytics profiling in the product. If that ever changes, we'll update this page first.
How we use your information
- To create your account, authenticate you and keep your workspace private to you.
- To save your work — sources, evidence, approved stories, versions and exports.
- To generate and edit case-study-related outputs at your request.
- To troubleshoot problems, improve reliability and fix bugs.
- To prevent misuse, abuse or unauthorised access.
AI-assisted processing
Case Study Creator uses AI features to help you work. Material you submit — notes, transcripts, testimonials, uploaded text and your answers — may be processed by those features to extract facts, identify gaps, suggest follow-up questions, propose story angles and generate or edit draft content.
This processing happens because you asked for it, as part of delivering the product. AI output is a draft for your review, never a finished publication. See the Legal & AI Content Disclaimer for what that means in practice.
Your content and your clients' material
You should only upload material you have the right or permission to use. Client transcripts, internal metrics, private messages and confidential documents often carry obligations of their own, and those obligations stay with you.
Uploading something to Case Study Creator does not make it public. Source material, investigation notes, evidence, drafts and versions live in your private workspace and are not intentionally exposed to other users by the act of uploading them.
Sharing and publishing
A case study becomes visible to others only when you deliberately publish or share it. A published share link renders the approved, finished case study you chose to publish.
Your source material, uploaded files, investigation notes, gaps, unapproved drafts and private workspace data are not part of a published share and are not public by default. You can stop sharing a case study from within the product.
Service providers
We rely on third-party infrastructure to operate: hosting, database and storage, authentication, and AI processing. These providers may process information only as needed to deliver those functions on our behalf. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for unrelated marketing.
Data retention
We keep your account and workspace information for as long as needed to provide the service, or until you delete it. Deleted items are removed from the working service; copies may persist for a limited period in routine backups or where we need to keep records for legal, security or operational reasons.
Your choices
- Edit or delete case studies, sources, versions and brand information in the app.
- Unpublish a shared case study at any time.
- Update your name, username and brand details from your workspace.
- Ask questions about your account or data through the support or contact method provided with the service.
Children
Case Study Creator is a business tool and is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
International users
The service and its providers may process and store information in countries other than your own. Data protection laws differ between countries. By using Case Study Creator you understand your information may be handled in this way, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you where you live.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after an update means the revised policy applies to you.
